QUALCOMM THIKNKABIT LAB

PLUG END TITLE SEQUENCE

PRN TOWN

I was contracted to create graphics to go over the top of two instructional videos for UCTV/UC San Diego and their Qualcomm Thinkabit Lab - a video series dedicated to STE(a)M education.

Created for the short film, PLUG (vyle-art.com/plug), I shot various mechanical objects with a macro lens to convey a sense of close scrutiny of inorganic lifeforms. I edited in Premiere and finished in After Effects.

An internal marketing video to show to potential clients, I helped craft the look-and-feel of the piece and also contributed to modeling, texturing, lighting and animation in Cinema 4D.

THE EX'PRESSION EX'PERIENCE

MOVIE THEATER 3D TRACKING

COLIN, A STUDY

In an effort to help visitors navigate Ex'pression College Open House events, I designed this app to be extremely user-friendly, quick to load and have all the necessary information at their fingertips.

A class demo for my students, I was teaching the 3D tracker inside After Effects. Purposefully using hand-held cell phone video, I tried to illustrate how you are able to clean up and use almost any video you are given.

Testing out a new camera, I shot footage of my son, Colin, and arranged it into a short "moment-in-the-life" short film. Edited and basic color grading in Premiere.

COSTCO SPRING INTERSTITIAL

CANON VIXIA CAMCORDERS

TEAC REEL-TO-REEL AD

Working with a creative brief of "make something for Spring", I used the Hair module in Cinema 4D to create a springtime ad that ran in Costco stores in the U.S.. Typography was finisehd in After Effects.

Shown in Best Buy stores across the U.S., I spliced footage of a rotating camcorder for a mostly-seamless 360-degree view of the product. I also tracked in the footage on the screen and set all the type.

A modeling challenge for myself, I created a scale replica of a TEAC reel-to-reel, set it to some music and animated. All work except for the ending type was completed in Cinema 4D.

AUDI A4 COMMERCIAL

BLUE ANGELS QUICK-CUT

A class demo for my students, I used a model of an Audi A4 to show lighting and rendering techniques within Cinema 4D.

A challenge to myself and a demo for my students, I took the Canon C300 into San Francisco to film the Blue Angels (and an F22 Raptor). I edited in Premiere, added type and some color treatment in After Effects.
